The rear hatch is one of the more common areas for rust to form on the
Corrado.
The following photos show rust forming around the window seal and the license
plate
light mounting screws.
I removed most of the rust using a dremel tool and sanding. Any leftover rust
was
neutralized before applying touch-up paint.
The rust at the window seal had eaten a pin hole size area through the metal
and was
patched (after cleaning) with JB Weld metal epoxy.
Though difficult to do, the rear window seal can be removed with the glass
remaining
in the car.
Rust formed around the license plate light screws.
Spot rusted clean through the metal at the bottom of the window.
Cleaned and then patched with JB Weld epoxy.
